We are a Danish/Japanese couple living on Bornholm, a Danish Island in the Baltic Sea.
The beautiful Bornholm nature and Island mentality allow time for reflection, inspiration and a peaceful work environment.
Since 1996 we have lived in both Asia and Europe.
These different cultures have stimulated and shifted our thoughts and philosophy, and have contributed to both a common interest and a broadening of our artistic skills.
The work materials we use may differ, but we share a common inspiration and appreciation of beauty derived from the Japanese aesthetic called Wabi Sabi.
This is an age-old lifestyle and life philosophy of dignity and humility, which can “appear” somewhat lacking, yet at the same time exudes the deep quality of a material which is connected to Nature.
This concept is, of course, found all around us.
We feel comfortable in the Wabi Sabi Universe, and this reflects in our Art.
